Maximum permitted weight per axle (t)
For buses & coaches, which carrying out the international & intercity transport of passengers, the following axle weights & sums of axle weights are permitted as exclusion: - single axles – 11,5 t, - tandem axles when distance between them is from 1,3 m till 1,8 m inclusively – 17 t. For tandem or triple axles, main axle of which (there are two main axles) has twin wheels and additional axle has single wheels, permitted sum of axial weight accept as for axles with twin wheels with reducing of axle weight on 0.5 t. When the motor vehicles with semi-trailers having triple axles and the distance between the axles from 1,3m. up to 1,8m are driving by the motorway M-1/E30 Brest (Kozlovichi) - Brest - Minsk - Russian Federation border (Redki), the permitted total weight per semi-trailer triple axles is 24t. If an axle of the vehicle is fitted with 4 or more twin (or single) wheels and the distance between the wheels is more than 0,7m, as well as if there are six and more wheels on the axle and the distance between them is less than 0,7m, weight per axle should not exceed the following parameters:
For motor vehicles, trucks, trailers, semi-trailers when the quantity of adjacent axles more then two and different interaxle distance, for calculation of permitted axle parameters the average, arithmetical, interaxle distance is accepted. Maximum permitted weight (t)
While driving by the trunk roads M-1 / E-30 and M-2 - M-12 the following permissible weights of the road trains are admitted: The 2 axle motor vehicle with 3 axle trailer – 42 t. The 3 axle motor vehicle with 2 axle trailer – 42 t. The 3 axle motor vehicle with 3 axle trailer – 44 t. The 3 axle motor vehicle with 4 axle trailer – 44 t.
HOLIDAYS 1, 7 of January, 8 of March, 1, 9 of May, 3 of July, 7 of November, 25 of December. DRIVING RESTRICTIONS There are no driving restrictions for commercial vehicles on Sundays or public holidays.
FUEL IMPORT Duty-free import of fuel in volume of full fuelling of talks, which technologically connected with the engine, is permitted. TAXES AND DUTIES
Road taxes Unless otherwise provided for under a bilateral agreement, foreign vehicles entering Belarus are subject the following road tax:
Receipt for payment of road tax is valid only for one trip (entry to territory of the Republic of Belarus – exit from territory of the Republic of Belarus). PAYABLE ROADS (TUNNELS, BRIDGES)
The duties’ rates and the order of payment for driving by the motorway M-1/E30 are the following: The duties for driving by the motorway M-1/E30 Brest - Brest - Minsk - Russian Federation border are paid by: - owners (users) of the vehicles from the foreign states – in the hard currency - owners (users) of the vehicles from the CIS countries - in the hard currency or in Russian rubles.

*The motor vehicle means the vehicle (single or several coupled vehicles), propelled by the motor and intended for transport of the passengers, goods and special equipment by the motorways. When one vehicle tows the other motor vehicles the duties for driving by the Ì-1/Å-30 motorway Brest (Kozlovichi) - Brest - Minsk - Russian Federation border (Redki) (hereinafter - duties) are collected from each vehicle having the motor. ** The amount of duties is determined in accordance with the rates of payment in EURO, levied from:

THE TERMS FOR HGV’s AND VEHICLES TRANSPORTING ABNORMAL LOADS Fees rates for exceeding vehicle permitted weight for more than 2% are set at the rate USD 0.03 per every complete exceeded ton per 1 km of distance & USD 0.01 for incomplete exceeded ton per kilometer. The fees payable for exceeding permitted weights per single, tandem & triple axles of the vehicle.
Fees for exceeding permitted axle weight per every adjacent axle of a vehicle, if there are more than three axles fitted with single and twin tyres, as well as for the vehicles having four and more single and twin tyres on the axle, when the distance between the wheels is over
Fees for excess dimensions
The fees for the heavy goods vehicles or vehicle transporting abnormal load driving by the motorways without special authorization or with infringement of prescribed route.
If the transport is carried out by the heavy goods vehicle or vehicle transporting abnormal load without special authorization the fees amount is levied for the distance traveled and when the driver possess the a/m authorization but doesn’t observe the prescribed route the fees are levied for the section traveled along the wrong way. The fees for the heavy goods vehicles driving by the motorways during the seasonal restrictions of the vehicle total weight and the weight per axle, which are introduced due to the adverse weather conditions, are calculated on the basis of the weights fixed for the current season. The fees charged for the heavy goods vehicles and/or vehicle transporting abnormal loads if such vehicles are leased or rented in the Republic of Belarus (with the foreign number plates of the truck), are calculated in the same manner as for the vehicles registered in the Republic of Belarus/ The fees for the heavy goods vehicle and/or vehicle transporting abnormal loads are charged depending on how much the this vehicle exceeds the permitted weights, axle loads, dimensions as well as these fees depend on the distance traveled by the route of transportation and are calculated according to the following formula: nÏ = (Cm * ÀÌ + Cmí) * S * K + + SUM Cj * S * K + 1 + (Ñø + Ñâ + Ñä + Ñäí + Ñâã + Ñâãí) * S * K ãäå À – a Greek letter “delta” Ï – duties charged for the vehicle journey; Cm – rate of duties charged for excess of permitted total weight of the vehicle by 1 ton; ÀÌ – excess of permitted total weight of the vehicle ; Cmí - rate of duties charged for excess of permitted total weight of the vehicle by a part of a ton; n – a number of the vehicle axles; Ñj – rate of duties charged for excess of permitted weight of single, tandem or triple axles, and if it is fitted wit more than 3 adjacent axles; S – a length of the route; Ñø, Ñâ, Ñä, Ñäí, Ñâã, Ñâãí – rate of duties for the exceeding the vehicle permitted width, high, length (of 1 meter or of its part), the load overhang (of 1 meter or of its part); Ê – increasing coefficient if driving by the motorways without the special authorization or if the driver does not observe the prescribed route: Ê = 1,0 – if there is no any infringement; Ê = 1,5 – increasing the fees amount by 50%; Ê = 2,0 - increasing the fees amount by 100%; Ê = 3,0 - increasing the fees amount by 200%.

TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS One-time authorizations for import, export and transit of toxic and drastic substances via customs border of the Republic of Belarus by road are issued by The Promatomnadzor Department of the Republic of Belarus, Tel: 00 375 17 2784303, Fax: 00 375 17 2784313. VETERINARY & PHYTOSANITARY CONTROL According to item 18 of Decree on quarantine of plants in the Republic of Belarus, which was approved by resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus Nr. 509 dated 29.07.1993, import of seeds, plants & phytogenous production (further – quarantine production) into Republic of Belarus from foreign countries is permitted in the presence of following documents: - import quarantine authorization, issued by State inspection on quarantine of plants and it’s departments in regions; - phytosanitary certificate, issued by state authorities on quarantine and plant protection of country-exporter. List of quarantine production, as well as conditions of its putting under customs procedure when importing & transit on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, were approved by resolution of State Customs Committee & Ministry of agriculture & foodstuffs Nr. 54/19 dated 05.07.2002. On the basis of above-listed documents, as well as Rules on outer quarantine of plants in the Republic of Belarus, quarantine production is a subject of primary phytosanitary control on the border points when importing to the territory of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time, state service on phytosanitary control does not levy payment from international transport operators. Quarantine production, which enter the territory of the Republic of Belarus, is subject to repeated quarantine control & laboratory examination.
